MOE Taiwan Scholarship Program

The Ministry of Education (MOE), Taiwan is the government authority responsible for overseeing education policies, academic development, and international educational exchange in Taiwan. It promotes high-quality education across all levels, from primary to higher education, and fosters research, innovation, and global collaboration.

To be eligible for the Scholarship, applicants must be Canadian citizens with strong academic performance and good moral character. They must not hold Taiwanese (R.O.C.) nationality, permanent residency, or be classified as overseas compatriot students. Applicants should not have previously enrolled in a Taiwanese institution for the same level of study or received the Taiwan Scholarship for a total of five years.

This free academic programme offers Tuition fee coverage up to TWD 40,000 per semester and a monthly stipend to qualified persons.

 MOE Taiwan Scholarship Program Qualifications

Here are the given criterias which those interested in the MOE Taiwan Scholarship must meet.

1. Be MOE Taiwan Scholarship Program a high school graduate or above with excellent academic performance and good moral character.
2. Be a Canadian citizen and not a national of Taiwan (R.O.C.).
3. Not hold the Alien Permanent Resident Certificate of Taiwan.
4. Not have previously enrolled in a Taiwanese educational institution for the same level of study.
5. Not be an exchange student at the time of receiving the scholarship.
6. Not have received the Taiwan Scholarship for a total of five years.
7. Not be a recipient of other scholarships from the Taiwan government or other Taiwanese institutions.
