- Hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in geophysics, applied mathematics, theoretical/computational physics, or a closely related field.
- Master’s students may apply if they expect to complete their degree before 01.10.2025.
- Strong background in numerical methods for solving PDEs (e.g., diffusion or wave equations).
- Skills in at least one of the following: numerical inversion methods, optimization, or machine learning.
- Proficiency in Python and/or Matlab programming (documentation such as GitHub portfolio is encouraged).
- Knowledge of Maxwell’s equations, rock physics models, Bayesian inversion, or machine learning in geophysics is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills in written and spoken English.
