Part Time Igbo Language Tutor (Lagos Based) at Learn Igbo By Conversation (LIBC)

We’re looking for a fluent Igbo speaker based in Lagos to join our team as a part-time online tutor. You will teach Igbo language to learners across the globe via Zoom using our structured conversational teaching method. You need to be a resident of Lagos for this role.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, spoken Igbo lessons via Zoom every Saturday evening (5:00 PM – 9:00 PM)
• Prepare lessons and do Audio recordings for our AudioBooks and Act as Shadow Tutor for other Tutors on the Team (Tuesdays and Wednesdays 5.00 pm - 9.00 pm)
• Help learners improve their speaking and listening skills in Igbo
• Follow our in-house method for teaching conversational Igbo
• Communicate clearly and professionally with students and the LIBC team

Part Time Igbo Language Tutor (Lagos Based) at Learn Igbo By Conversation (LIBC) Qualifications

Preceding the application are these qualifications expected of each and everyone willing and ready to apply for this job.

1. Must currently live in Lagos
2. Minimum grade of A1 in Igbo Language (SSCE WAEC) – this is compulsory
3. Fluent in both spoken and written Igbo and English
4. Prior experience using Zoom (essential)
5. Access to a reliable, high-speed internet connection (non-negotiable)
6. Passionate about promoting the Igbo language
7. No teaching degree required – enthusiasm and commitment to learners are what matter most
