Applicants must hold a master’s degree (or equivalent) in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Bioprocess Engineering, or a related field. Candidates should have a strong interest in microbial electrochemistry, purple phototrophic bacteria, and sustainable biotechnology, along with experience in microbial cultivation and working with (photo)bioreactors.

  • Hold an MSc degree (or equivalent) in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Bioprocess Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in microbial cultivation and operating (photo)bioreactors
  • Experience with pigment identification and quantification is a strong advantage.

  • Awareness of laboratory safety practices and commitment to a safe working environment.
