Youth Advocate at Civil Society Scaling-Up Nutrition in Nigeria (CS-SUNN)

The Civil Society Scaling-Up Nutrition in Nigeria (CS-SUNN) is a non-governmental, non-profit making coalition, made up of organizations with a shared vision to transform Nigeria into a country where every citizen is food and nutrition secured. We pursue this lofty goal by engaging government and non-state actors to raise awareness, sustain commitment.

The Civil Society-Scaling Up Nutrition in Nigeria (CS-SUNN), through the SUN Civil Society Youth Network Nigeria (SUN-CSYNN), invites applications from young and motivated individuals to join the SUN-CS Youth Network as Youth Advocates under the Youth Leaders for Nutrition (YL4N) Project.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

The Youth Leaders for Nutrition (YL4N) Project seeks to strengthen youth participation in nutrition advocacy, policy engagement, and community action by empowering young people to become champions for nutrition within their communities and states.


AVAILABLE POSITIONS

  1. Lagos State – 20 Youth Advocates
  2. Kano State – 20 Youth Advocates
  3. Ebonyi State – 20 Youth Advocates
  4. Federal Capital Territory (FCT) – 20 Youth Advocates
ROLE OF YOUTH ADVOCATES

Successful applicants will:

  • Champion nutrition awareness and advocacy within their communities.
  • Participate in community nutrition dialogues and engagement activities.
  • Mobilize and engage young people on nutrition, food systems, and related development issues.
  • Support evidence generation, documentation, and reporting of advocacy activities.
  • Participate in training, mentorship, and capacity-building opportunities.
  • Collaborate with government agencies, civil society organizations, and community stakeholders.
  • Support youth-led advocacy initiatives aimed at improving nutrition outcomes

Youth Advocate at Civil Society Scaling-Up Nutrition in Nigeria (CS-SUNN) Qualifications 

Here are the requirements expected of each and everyone willing and ready to apply for this job.

  1. Be between 18 and 30 years old.
  2. Reside in Lagos, Kano, Ebonyi State, or the FCT and be available throughout the project period.
  3. Demonstrate interest in nutrition, public health, food systems, youth development, or related fields.
  4. Possess good communication and teamwork skills.
  5. Be willing to volunteer their time and actively participate in network activities
