Royal Audit Authority Scholarships, Bhutan

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be employees of the Royal Audit Authority who meet the Long-Term Training (LTT) requirements under the BCSR 2023. Candidates should hold at least a Bachelor’s degree, have a minimum of two years of active service (excluding probation), and possess a “Good” performance rating for the last two financial years. Preference will be given to those with an accounting background, and applicants must not have completed a Master’s degree.

The Royal Audit Authority (RAA) is the Supreme Audit Institution of Bhutan, responsible for promoting accountability, transparency, and good governance through independent auditing of public resources. It ensures that government funds are used efficiently, economically, and effectively in accordance with laws and regulations.

Preceding the application are these qualifications expected of each and everyone willing and ready to apply for this scholarship.
  • Must fulfill Long-Term Training (LTT) eligibility as per Clause 7.7.4 of the BCSR 2023.
  • Hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and have been selected through the Civil Service exam in professional/management level (preference for accounting background).
  • Must not have completed a Master’s degree.
  • At least two years of active service (excluding probation).
  • Meet the training gap requirement as per Clause 7.5 of the BCSR 2023 if previously on LTT.
  • Minimum of “Good” performance rating for the last two financial years.
  • Must agree to serve thrice the duration of the course upon return, as per internal RAA requirement.
  • Minimum of 2 GCE A-Level and 3 GCE O-Level credits (including English and Math), OR ACCA student membership, OR equivalent qualifications listed on the ACCA website.
