Harvard University is pleased to announce the opening of the Amgen Scholars Program for summer 2026. This program offers a unique opportunity for undergraduates to explore biotechnology research, receive expert mentorship, and connect with a community of motivated scholars.


Eligibility for the study program requires applicants to be U.S. citizens or permanent residents enrolled as undergraduates at accredited four-year colleges or universities in the U.S., Puerto Rico, or U.S. territories. Students must be sophomores, juniors, or non-graduating seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.2 and a strong interest in pursuing a PhD or MD/PhD in biotechnology or related biomedical sciences.

Preceding the application are these qualifications expected of each and everyone willing and ready to apply for this scholarship.

• Be U.S. citizens or permanent residents (international students are ineligible).
• Be currently enrolled undergraduate students at accredited four-year U.S. colleges or universities.
• Be sophomores, juniors, or non-graduating seniors at the time of application.
• Hold a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.
• Demonstrate genuine interest in pursuing a PhD or MD/PhD in biotechnology or biomedical sciences.
• No prior research experience is required.
• Must be available for the full 10-week program (June 3 – August 8, 2026) and reside in Harvard-provided housing.
